EDE - Empire Distric Electric Declares .32 Cents Dividends

JOPLIN, Mo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--At the Board of Directors meeting of The Empire District Electric Company (NYSE:EDE - News) held today, the Directors declared a quarterly dividend of $0.32 per share on common stock payable June 15, 2009, to holders of record as of June 1, 2009.
