JADE Securities Watches Time Warner Moves (The Effects of Loyalty and Emotions in Investing)

November 22, 2009 California, USA.  Now a days, JADE SECURITIES, the oldest portfolio under iMOBHQ.COM's list of investment portfolios, is watching how Time Warner, Inc (TWX) is Divesting or Separating from some of it's Business Units.  This Divesting or Separation of Business Units of Time Warner is one of the much awaited move some investors in the investment community has been waiting for.

Time Warner has successfully separated it's Time Warner Cable Unit.  Now it is Spinning-Off it's AOL business.  AOL, formerly America On Line, was one of the pioneers and icon internet and search engine companies during the internet Boom in the late 90's and early 2000's .  It was later on purchased by Time Warner, Inc in the hopes of capitalizing on it's search engine capability while merging Time Warner's Content and media expertise to the internet.  Unfortunately, Time Warner was unable to capitlaize on this Synergy.

JADE SECURITIES is not sure how AOL may perform given that Google is a dominant player and is way ahead of the other competitors.  Yahoo itself has been competing with Google and it has been struggling lately.  Once the spinoff has been completed, the important factor for the new AOL business is how it will execute it's plans on the first few months of the Spin-off.  Another aspect that JADE SECURITIES is watching on this spin-off is the AOL technology platform.  Will the AOL technology be able to compete with the more advanced platform of Google if AOL is still in that space?

In the late 90's JADE SECURITIES held shares in AOL, Yahoo, Nokia, Broadcom, Conexant, Google, Intel, Microsoft and other High Technology Companies.  The portfolio has seen these companies go through it's early stages of development, the BOOM, the BUBBLE and the Aftermath of the internet Bubble.  So JADE SECURITIES will be watching how AOL shares perform in it's first months of operation after the SPIN-OFF.

While JADE SECURITIES has liquidated it's shares on the other high tech companies at the proper time, it has held on to it's AOL shares until it was purchased by Time Warner (TWX) thinking it was one of the good ideas if PROPERLY MANAGED and EXECUTED.  In this case, Time Warner has not Executed the merging of technology properly while it's competitors has done so, specially Google.

Time Warner, Inc is one of the stable companies in the USA and it has a global presence.  It pays constant dividends to it's shareholders.  Time Warner remains in the iMOBHQ.COM's investment watch list.  The dividend it pays is on the lower end bracket if compared to the other companies on the iMOBHQ.COM investment watch list.

Will JADE SECURITIES still be LOYAL and have EMOTIONS to the AOL stock this time?  JADE SECURITIES has learned it's lesson!!! It will execute it's decision after evaluating the AOL spin-off!  So it will be watching the moves of Time Warner, Inc and AOL!!!
