SO - Southern Company Declares .4375 Dividend

ATLANTA - Southern Company today announced a regular quarterly dividend of 43.75 cents per share on the company's common stock, payable March 6, 2010, to shareholders of record Feb. 1, 2010.
This marks 249 consecutive quarters - dating back to 1948 - that Southern Company will have paid a dividend to its shareholders.
