ARE THERE NO MORE ANGELS? NORMAL PEOPLE ARE BLINDER THAN A BLIND PERSON
The following event that you are about to read is a true story.
While waiting at a subway station, I saw a glimpse of a blind person getting off the subway accross the other side of the tracks. Beside her are normal people considered to have normal vision. A few minutes later, I saw the blind woman started to struggle to find her way to the stairs. She was walking in circles on the ramp. Hit her head several times against the low overhead concrete ramp just right above her head. Since I am on the other side of the track and can't get to her, I started looking at people next to her. I started mumbling to myself, "WILL SOMEONE PLEASE HELP HER!!!" Unfortunately, NO ONE TOOK THE TIME to help this blind woman to find her way. Since she is next to a subway ramp, one of my MAIN CONCERN WAS HER SAFETY. As I watch these people around her with 20/20 Vision ignore her and mind their own business as if TIME IS MORE PRECIOUS THAN LIFE ITSELF. What happens if she FALLS FROM THE SUBWAY RAMP and got herself run over by the incoming train?
Two more minutes and my own train will be arriving soon. Should I take my time to go up the stairs and go around the other side of the ramp to help this blind woman and miss my train?
Well...I did miss my train and had to wait for half an hour, but it's worth being late that day!
It only took me 5 minutes to get to the other side of the track And helped the blind person to safety. 5 Precious minutes to save a life and no one standing next to her took that time!!!
